From I’ve read U.S. media were supportive of the war in Vietnam from the beginning. It wasn’t until American soldiers started to drop like flies and the financing for the war started to become unmanageable that the American elites started become concerned. Once the elites began to change their stance on the war, the media also started to change its tune on U.S. commitment in Vietnam.

In our current situation with threats of war against Iran and China, I’m not sure if any American newspaper has directly challenged the beating of war drums by the Trump administration officials.
